"He who travels far will often see things far
removed
from what he believed was truth. When he talks about it in the fields
at home he is often accused of lying, for the obdurate people will not
believe what they do not see and distinctly feel. Inexperience, I
believe , will give little credence to my song." (quote is believed to
be by Hermann Hesse)
Bravo. This is a good beginning. Keep it up.
ReplyDeleteI am still trying how to figure out where to post something. I believe Seargent Shriver had the idea first. He started the Peace Corps to have young and older American the opportunity to get that education abroad. I ran across a lot of them in Nepal when I was trekking. Those who do not travel only have the news to depend upon for their picture of the world. Those who have the opportunity but are too afraid to do so are missing out on a interesting world out there. Any thoughts?
ReplyDeleteDon't be too timid and squeamishabout your actions. All life is an experiment. The more experiments you make the better.

ReplyDeleteJeffrey Lors
I think I came up with the title based upon many of the adventures I had in the 70s. I didn't make a big deal about them but upon reflection I decided they were pretty far out.
